Jim founded Aloft Behavioral Health in order to build State-of-the-Art Behavioral Health facilities in communities where there is an identified need. Prior to Aloft, Jim founded a national healthcare company that was a chain of private psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals across the nation. Headquartered in Memphis, TN, the company grew from Denovo to 13 Hospitals in 8 states with revenues just under $200,000,000. At it's peak it was the 4th largest pure play Psychiatric Hospital chain in the country. With over 33 years of behavioral health experience, Jim has helped a variety of small and large companies grow and expand services in order to meet the demands of behavioral health services in many communities. Jim is the Chairman of the UT Health Science Center College of Medicine Board of Visitors. Jim also sits on the Jason Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the JC Runyon Foundation Board. Jim holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Communications from Murray State University and an undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation also from Murray State University. Jim currently lives in Germantown, TN with his wife Niki Shaheen. They have 3 children and 1 grandchild. Jim enjoys playing golf and tennis with his wife and playing with his granddaughter
Renee has worked in Behavioral Health for over 18 years. Her experience in all of the administrative functions necessary to operate a successful company goes far beyond Behavioral Health. Prior to getting into healthcare, Renee participated in the startup of not one but three companies, one of which became a part of Time Warner, and one that grew to be the fourth largest pure play Psychiatric Hospital chain at its time. In addition to her day-to-day tasks, Renee assisted the Founder & President in the construction and opening of 12 behavioral health facilities. This included the selection and installation of furniture, office supplies, etc. Renee hired and trained all Administrative staff and receptionists for each facility. Her insight to what it takes to marshal all of the resources necessary to open a new hospital is invaluable. Renee also serves on the Board of the JC RUYON Foundation. Renee currently lives in Byhalia, MS (a suburb of Collierville, TN) with her husband, Lucian. They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys traveling, gardening, reading and time with her family.
Stan Howell has over 35 years of behavioral health experience. Stan is the co-owner and co-founder of an LLC called “Rational Reactions”. He provides Physical and Verbal de-escalation, Milieu Development and training for staff at Behavioral Health facilities around the country. He also, provides training for Schools and police department on how to appropriately and effectively manage difficult and challenging behaviors. Prior to that Stan worked as the Director of Milieu Management and Director of Safety at Strategic Behavioral Health for over 10 years. Additionally, Stan has been a Health Educator, Physical Science/Biology Teacher, Assistant Principal, and Community Counselor. Stan attended Mississippi State University. Other certifications include- National Institute for violence prevention and the Harvard School of School of Public Heath, as well as Master Trainer in Handle with Care.
Clyde Peete has over 45 years of experience in behavioral health. Clyde is the co-owner and co-founder of an LLC called “Rational Reactions”. He provides Physical and Verbal de-escalation, Milieu Development and training for staff at Behavioral Health facilities around the country. He also, provides training for Schools and police department on how to appropriately and effectively manage difficult and challenging behaviors. Prior to forming Rational Reactions, Clyde joined the corporate staff of Strategic Behavioral Health as the Director of Milieu Management and later became an Executive Director of Milieu Management where he remained until leaving in 2019. Clyde says that being a Milieu Manager encompassed being responsible for staffing units, training new and existing staff, treatment team member and program scheduling. This experience as milieu manager, tech, recreational therapist along with his education afforded him the opportunity to be the Administrator of an Alternative School for at risk adolescent. Clyde attended Rust College and is a Certified Master Trainer for Handle with Care.
